Thank you for taking the time to learn a little bit about me!
I come from a large family (with more siblings than there are days in a week - eight to be exact)! My family moved from Kalamazoo to Ann Arbor in 1964 so my father could go to work for his brothers (George and Joe) at Big George's Home Appliance Mart. As a young girl, I loved the city as soon as I arrived. Of course, it didn't hurt that we lived a few blocks away from Washtenaw Dairy!
After graduating from college with a degree in Sociology, I worked as a legal assistant for 2 1/2 years and learned how to do research and pay close attention to detail. When I became a licensed Realtor in 1981, Michigan's economy was in a tailspin and interest rates were 16 - 18%! Despite those conditions, I achieved great results for my buyers and sellers because of my work ethic, personal service and persistence. My first broker, John, kiddingly told me, "Linda, if you sell enough houses, I'll marry you." Well... as it turned out, our mutual passion for real estate developed into friendship and true love, and we did get married! We have 2 wonderful sons - Jeff and Eric - who grew up here in Ann Arbor, went to school at UM and EMU, and make us proud every day.
As the third oldest in a large family, one of the valuable lessons I learned is that it takes a lot of love and hard work to make sure everyone's needs are met and maintain a happy household. As a Realtor, I treat my clients like family... with respect and consideration. Perhaps that's why they describe me as patient, earnest, intuitive, positive and helpful, warm and caring, tireless, straight-forward, and "not pushy"... and why they recommend me so often to their friends and neighbors. I always do my very best to help people make informed decisions and achieve their objectives.
